This week we have been working on a play and my play was about the Grinch. In my group there was me, Izzy, Tara, Noah, Luca and Unique. This is a couple of pic of the play that we performed today. 

This week we have been learning about Christmas traditions. There are different traditions throughout the world. I have created Christmas ornaments and origami box’s. This is part of the Christmas traditions from long ago people didn’t have raping paper so the used box’s and paper box’s.

This week in reading we have been learning about nursery rhymes and have done a vocabulary, sentence builder a comprehension task and a create task. This is what I have made.  I used google slides and canva. Have you made a Nursery rhyme.

This week in our writing we have been concentrating on writing an Explanation. It can be what ever you like and this is what I have wrote.

WHY HORSES HAVE TAILS!

Have you ever wondered why horses have tails? What would it be like if horses did not have tails?

Annoying insects 

Horses have tails to swipe all the annoying bugs away. It is a relief they have a tail if they didn’t have a tail to swipe the bugs away they would shake their bottom.

Balance on the road

Horses have tails to help them have balance when they move. If they didn’t have tails they would be very wobbly when they moved and if you were unlucky the horse would fall over.

Communication

Horses’ tails are also to communicate and show their feelings. If horses didn’t have tails they would not be able to communicate and that would be bad!

The tails are very helpful. Now we know why horses have tails. 

This is how I made this. I first wrote it on a planning sheet and then wrote it in our writing book.  After that I put on a google doc and published it on my blog.

This term we have been reading a book called Kensuke’s kingdom and we were set to make a diorama about the book. And so everybody got in a group of 2 or 3. My group was Unique and Aria. Unique wasn’t always there but when she was she helped out and when Aria was there she did a fair amount of work as well. We also wanted to see what it would look like if it was a diorama and the senior class made some dioramas and we got some inspiration from them.

I learnt about to work as a group and not to boss people around. And I had a good experment with my friends and to get to know them better. It is also a good experment and it was also fun. We all worked to together as a group. it is a good way to get to know people better and to become better friends. When I made it we used a shoe box and lots of paint and polymer clay.
